Potential Gov. Shut Down

When contacted regarding a possible disruption of service should the Federal Government shut down we were told there would be no impact. The passport agency is funded by the fees paid by the applicant when applying for a passport therefore resources are in place to keep the Passport Agency open and processing applications during a shut down.

When asked to confirm we received the following quote from the Passport Agency, "We have been receiving a lot of inquiries regarding the possible shutdown. Since we are fee funded, we will be open for business per usual. If anything changes, we will be notified."
